He is the main character of A Loaf to Share. I am not very detailed when it comes to physical descriptions, but I imagine him to be in his 20s or maybe early 30s, tall and lanky with a bit of a babyface. As to what he exactly looks like, I leave up to you.
He has the ability to duplicate items as long as they are from something that is considered a sort of "inventory" (like a bag, a box, or even his hand if he ever thinks of it...). If it is something that is a mass object, like rice or water, it will be duplicated per container (like sacks or bottles). Also, the duplicates start out at the quality of the original at the time it was duplicated, so with food and other such perishables, eventually he would have to acquire fresher items.
It does not work on living creatures, perhaps because they cannot be considered "items", so forcing him to attempt cloning is not going to go well.
I usually think a lot more when it comes to names, and I actually wanted to give him an actual name, but it was more interesting worldbuilding-wise to go with an alias. In this case, I imagine that it is something that he only thought up on the spot as he lives alone and tries to get by on his own and did not need to introduce himself much.
Other than what I have already written, I was also thinking of a story beat happening in his earlier years where he has been taking care of a family member who is terminally (or perhaps just gravely) ill. I was thinking that he did not have any awareness of his ability then, and by the time he found out, it was too late for it to be of any use.
My only struggle with that particular storyline is how would it contribute to the person he is currently. Then again, I have not exactly worked out how he is in terms of personality, so I suppose there could be more development.
